Sarita Harris - President - The Atiras Group

An accomplished Market Developer and Marketing Subject Matter Expert, Sarita Harris has spent almost 20 years designing, implementing and managing integrated marketing and communications plans for Business, Consumer and Government segments. Using her vast experience, professional demeanor and diplomacy, she approaches each project with the same passion, dedication and commitment acting as an advocate protecting and championing her client’s interest no matter how large or small.

In 2005, Sarita began working as an Independent Consultant and later founded The Atiras Group, a highly-specialized marketing services consulting firm located in Silver Spring, Maryland. Since that time, she has provided an array of services to help her clients build effective communication and outreach programs; develop markets and access clients for their products and services; measure and improve public perceptions; plan and market conferences, tradeshow and special events; and assess and optimize operations. Past clients include the Global Commercialization Group at the IC² Institute at The University of Texas at Austin, AARP, AARP Services, Inc., Xohm, Sprint Nextel’s Mobile Broadband Division, American Bankers Association, and Motorola’s Federal Technical Center.

Prior to her consulting work, Sarita had a successful career leading national marketing efforts and managing operations for the Commercial and Small Business segments at MCI Communications; developing marketing communications and proposals and coordinating procurement contracts for national Construction Management companies located in the Washington Metropolitan area; and planning ad placement and events for a software publishing company located in Silver Spring, MD.

Sarita holds a Masters degree in International Marketing from the University of Maryland, University College and speaks Spanish as a second language.
